Jeez max, you are spot on with this comment... I spent a couple of hours whipping up a flash animation and by the end of the day over 200 people had voted on it... I spent weeks working on one song and maybe 30 people have listened to it.

That's newgrounds though... it's a flash site. The really frustrating thing is how many animations are made using signed bands as the music source when there is plenty of free music to be had in the audio portal.

As I see it, the main problem is that there are no experience points or any other user benefits for voting or reviewing music tracks. Plus there are no trophies or awards for the musicians.

If NG were serious about increasing the traffic through the audio portal they would look at those two issues, just to begin with.
